A small wager now and then can be a form of entertainment, a seemingly innocent pastime. However, if we turn to gambling with a desire to be a big winner and improve our financial security or raise our status then we are going beyond what is pleasing to God. The basis of gambling in all its forms is clearly verbalised in the phrase, "I win, you lose"
This concept is obviously contrary to being honest workers and sharing people which is what God wants us to be.
